Flint Farm
, East Sussex, 2023We are working on the conversion and redevelopment of a set of redundant farm buildings within the Low Weald in East Sussex. The project will re-establish the historic farm layout to provide two new dwellings which exploit the panoramic views over the South Downs.
Our sensitive and sustainable approach will strip away unsympathetic and damaging alterations to the key historic structures and minimise both embodied and operational energy for the new house. This will be constructed using demolition waste from the site and recycled materials to create a bespoke graded brick and flint 'bungaroosh' walling as a highly sustainable and contextual contemporary reinterpretation of the local vernacular.
Construction is underway and is due for completion later this year.
